Singapore Space and Technology Association invites public participation in The People’s Moon – a combination of artwork by The People’s Picture and historical footage produced by Blue Aurora Media, to be screened around the world and at the ArtScience Museum, Marina Bay on 20 July, the 50th anniversary of the first humans to land on the Moon.
“We are delighted to be coordinating Singapore’s participation in The People’s Moon project,” said Yvonne Lin, Assistant Director at the Singapore Space and Technology Association. “We are not only encouraging Singaporeans to submit their photos and messages but we will also be screening the video artwork as part of our programme to mark the 50th anniversary of the first Moon landing at the ArtScience Museum in Marina Bay on 20th July 2019. This is an exciting time for the space industry in Singapore with major opportunities in the rapidly growing commercial and scientific sector.”
Award winning international producer and space broadcaster Jonathan Levy, Founder of Blue Aurora Media, is combining historical footage with the artwork for public screenings on the Moon landing anniversary, 20 July 2019, in major global locations including London and Singapore. He said: “This is a landmark in human history. The anniversary this July is not only an occasion to reflect on the achievements of the past but also to focus on the opportunities ahead as we enter a new exciting space age. It is great that Singapore is joining this global celebration to stimulate a new generation of space scientists and explorers.”
