St Pauls Way Trust Science Summer School

On July 4, St Paul’s Way Trust School hosted by Brian Cox  involved 400 young people and experts from across the sciences in The People’s Moon workshops as part of the Apollo 50 celebrations worldwide.

St Paul’s Way Trust School, a ‘National Teaching School’ and a ‘Through School’, places science at the heart of the curriculum with its unique Faraday learning pathway. The aim is to inspire young people to become the next generation of Britain’s scientists.

The opportunities for exciting and innovative careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) are almost limitless. This year they presented an inspirational programme which mixed the best of STEAM subjects with a focus on Engineering, through a series of seminars, discussions and hands-on experiments.

Together, with the pupils of the Science Summer School, we made our very own ‘Apollo 50th’ photo mosaic together using historic photos and selfies captured on the day. This was exhibited on a giant touchscreen.

St Paul’s Way Trust Science Summer School is generously supported by AXA XL and Ibstock PLC.
