Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex

The interactive digital photo mosaic created by the People’s Picture, Moondog Animation and DesignShop is an installation at the Apollo/Saturn V Center at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, as part of the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 celebration. The mission, which launched from Kennedy Space Center on July 16, 1969, brought Astronauts Buzz Aldrin, Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins to the Moon, where Armstrong took the historic first steps.

“The Apollo Program was accomplished as a result of the efforts of more than 400,000 people working together to achieve an impossible dream,” said Therrin Protze, chief operating officer of Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. “This project gives thousands of people from around the world an opportunity to become a lasting part of the historic and important 50th anniversary of the first Moon landing and walk.”

DesignShop has been a true creative infusion at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. We continue to work with DesignShop as they own their designs and have been a great partner to build an experience for our guests that is truly memorable.” – Therrin Protze / Chief Operating Officer, DNC Parks & Resorts at KSC
